Biography

Previously Rotary Club of Oberon 4 yrs, Treasurer 1996 to 2006; 2012 to 2015
• Treasurer twice – first time for 10 years and then again for 3 years. He has held other roles in the club and was recognised with a Paul Harris Fellow award for his many contributions.
• A huge involvement with the BOBBO over many years, progressively improving the operation of the event with a detailed master plan for all groups involved, including suppliers, clubs, charities and supporters. John has devoted many hours to planning over many months before each event and hands-on management of Karuah Oval for the entire weekend of each event.
• Writing and implementing the Covid plan for the Bobbo, ensuring the social distancing of over 2000 riders and many volunteers. The plan was the model for the 2021 Lindfield Fun Run as well as a BBQ at Clarke Road School.
• Site operation manager for the Fun Run in 2021 (and took on the role of Project Manager for the 2022 Fun Run).
