1963 - graduated from Army Officer Cadet School, Portsea Victoria to Infantry.
1964 - 2yrs active service with 3RAR in Malaysia and Borneo during the Indonesian Confrontation period.
1966 - posted to Special Air Service Regiment (SASR), Perth
1967 - Vietnam war service with 1 Squadron SASR
1968 - Instructor at OCS Portsea 1970 - Dept of Defence, Canberra 1972 - Promoted to Major, OC of 3 Squadron SASR, Perth.
1974 - Command and Staff College, 12 month management course at Queenscliff, Vic.
1975 - posted to Army Operations Command HQ, Sydney (where I met Gwen, bought a boat, became a boat builder for 10 yrs).
1979 - Marriage to Gwen.
1982 - Army Recruit Training at Wagga Wagga. Son Benjamin born. Joined RC of Wagga Wagga.
1983 - Promoted to Lt Colonel, posted to Melbourne as i/c of 3,500 married quarters. Joined RC of Noble Park.
1986 - Posted to Canberra to organize the Chief of the Army's annual International Conference for 3 yrs. Joined RC of Canberra-Belconnen.
1988 - Posted to Sydney. Army Training Command HQ, Middle Head Sydney.
Dec 1988 - Joined RCK
1989-2001 - managed Rotary Achievement workshop
1990 - retired from Army: 7 yrs with Australia's largest funeral company, responsible for setting up/managing a pre-arranged funeral plan.
President RCK - 1998-99
1997 - 7 yrs with Tony McClelland as Marketing Manager of Computer Fiscal Services.
2000 - took golf lessons. 2004 - retired.
2009 - studied web design at TAFE. 'Certificate IV Information Technology - Websites'
